Nyjer seeds are small in size, making them easy to ingest for many species of wild birds. They are high in energy and packed with fat, protein, fibre, vitamins A and C, calcium and iron.

Nyjer seeds are suitable for Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Goldfinches, Chaffinches, Greenfinches, Bullfinches, Tree Sparrows, and Siskins.

While all these birds will enjoy Nyjer if it is offered, not all of them will eat it exclusively. Goldfinches, redpolls and siskins, however, will eat nothing but Nyjer if it is readily available.
